And since this will likely catch Dr. Z’s attention, the WJ interior shots he asked about.

Man, I don't think I've seen a WJ interior that nice in a long time. Most seem to have had fragile leather that doesn't hold up well to time and the sun. A little bit if armrest peel is not too shabby for its age.

Yeah, the overall cleanliness of this one impressed the hell out of me. When I started this search I never would have expected to spend this much on an automatic non-XJ Jeep, but it should be worth it.

It looks a lot better than 145k and 15 years would suggest. I wish you many happy miles with it.

That is a nice, nice, extremely nice 4Runner. Mileage so low it should be “certified pre-owned” by 4Runner standards. Luckily it’s an automatic, so I don’t feel too bad about not being in a position to buy it.

Wow, that driver’s door armrest . My gut says that could be replaced with a used part...or cheaper if you're comfortable with black gaffer tape.

Also if you really want it, you could swap the stereo head unit for a more modern and affordable aftermarket unit that could offer GPS, Apple CarPlay, and/or Android Auto.

I’m definitely going to do some parts shopping.
The fuel tank protection is rusted all to hell, which was true of all the WJs I looked at locally. And the wheels are heavily scuffed , which I might deal with eventually if I get a lift and bigger tires.

Yeah, getting a double DIN stereo in there involves some cutting, but I’ll probably take it to a reputable auto stereo installer and let them put something in there with CarPlay support.
I wish Chrysler hadn’t been so invested in 1.5 DIN stereos. At least on the Wrangler it’s pretty easy to cut a larger opening; being able to remove dash panels trivially is very convenient.

This and a spray can of bed liner should do the trick:
As for the wheels, that's not heavy scuffing. That's corrosion. I think they can be repaired, but you may need to consider aftermarket options.

You can get a “floating” one if you want to DIY. Theyre single DIN and you can get a 9 or 10" screen.

Besides that armrest that thing is CLEAANNNN. Nice grab. Selec-Trac FTW!

Pretty clean on the inside. Does everything function, or is there a list of fixits?

Very short list given its age . Two open recalls, the A/C probably doesn’t work but the car lot is going to fix it when it’s warmer and we can verify, and the transfer case is harder to shift than I’d like but all of them I’ve tried are unpleasant, so I’m guessing it’s some combination of age and disuse.
